VLC Media Player which was previously available for the iPad has now been release for the iPhone. The latest 1.1.0 update includes support for iPhone 4, 3GS and latest gen iPod Touches.
It introduces in-app file management without the need of having to go through iTunes to delete files and increases the compatibility of the app with different filetypes.
Here are some screenshots of the app on my iPhone 4:
To add videos to VLC Library:
- Connect your iPhone / iPod to the computer
- In iTunes, select your iPhone / iPod and click on the Apps tab
- Below File Sharing, select VLC from the list, and then click Add
