Apple released iOS 5.0.1 about 3 weeks ago. And those of you who rely on Gevey unlock want to update to iOS 5.0.1, you can go ahead and do it. Gevey sim works with iOS 5.0.1. You can:
- preserve baseband by building a custom iOS 5.0.1 using sn0wbreeze
- preserve baseband by building a custom iOS 5.0.1 using redsn0w

Gevey, Gevey Pro & Gevey Supreme work with iOS 5.0.1 while preserving the baseband. Gevey Ultra also works fine with iOS 5.0.1. ApplenBerry has released FuriousMod 2.0 for iOS 5.0.1.

Hi Mahesh, suggest where should I purchase Gevey Ultra Sim in India as ApplenBerry.com does not ship it to India. Earlier I purchased one from ebay, but it didn’t worked, it was fake.

Hi my Gevey Supreme stopped getting signal 3 days back. The unlock message comes up on inserting the Sim, and even Sim applications are present. But after airplane mode on/off and the ‘Sim Failure’ message it starts searching and shows ‘No Service’ after a minute or so. I had installed Winterboard thru Cydia just before this problem. But uninstalling it did not solve the problem. I tried 3 different Gevey Sims, and still it persists. Any help guys?
Hi,
Try performing hard reset by pressing home + power buttons for ten seconds. Then after the iPhone reboots, insert the Gevey sim and perform the 112 procedure.

What’s the modem firmware? Check Settings -> General -> About.

Currently there’s no software/hardware unlock for 04.11.08. The only solution is to get your iPhone factory unlocked.
