A team from China, GeveyTeam, has demonstrated a video showing Chinese telecom operator’s SIM working on the locked basebands, 02.10.04 and 03.10.01 of iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 on iOS 4.1 and 4.2.1 is locked for a long time now, and recently @MuscleNerd confirmed that the iPhone Dev Team doesn’t have any working exploit for the basebands on iOS 4.1/4.2.1/4.3.
I did a little research on Google about Turbo SIMs and Gevey. With Gevey Turbo SIM, you don’t need to jailbreak your iPhone 4 to unlock it. The team has successfully unlocked iPhone 4 on iOS 4.1 and 4.2.1 with basebands 02.10.04 and 03.10.01 respectively. They are now working to make the Turbo SIM work with iOS 4.3 baseband 04.10.01.
The Gevey Turbo SIM will be release on March 18th or March 21st, according to the following tweet. The pricing is not yet disclosed. But I think the price will be reasonable as a large number of users are stuck with locked iPhone 4s.

When you lose network, you have to redo the 112 procedure to get network.
Does this work for the Iphone 3GS with IOS 4.1 and a baseband of 5.14.02?
So, when you insert the gevey sim card, you pair it with whatever the sim card is from the carrier you sign up with?
The concept of GEVEY works with iPhone 3GS also. But there is no turbo sim available for 3GS for iOS 4.1 and latter.
I wonder what new version is this ? Is it even legit ? As applenberry claims tht gevey supreme and pro plus are not gevey products so is there a chance that this might be the untethered one officially from gevey-3g/applenberry ? No where on the website does it say that they have launched this. Please reply with your views.

GEVEY Supreme Pro Plus is not by GEVEY-3G or Applenberry. It is launched by some other company. And it requires you to dial 112 for the first time you use it. I’ll be posting a separate review of GEVEY Supreme Pro Plus soon. Stay tuned!

GEVEY Ultra does work without requiring to dial 112 manually. You’ll need to jailbreak and install a Cydia tweak, FuriousMod, which will carry out the 112 procedure everytime your iPhone reboots. i have a iphone 4 version 4.3.1 which i have brought frm UK i have installed gevey sim pro and it worked fine for a day then i started using internet on my phone my phone is getting very heat when i am using network services and now its showing NETWORK LOST (your selected cellular network is no longer available you can choose a different network in settings)
should’nt we use net on locked iphone?
